Kentucky Couple Buys Powerball Ticket For Their Anniversary!

Saturday evening was set to be a special night for Dwight Walton of Irvine and his wife Jeanie. It was their 12th wedding anniversary and over dinner the couple talked about the record $365 million Powerball jackpot up for grabs that night. As fate would have it, they bought a couple of Powerball quick pick tickets and called it an evening. That next morning, Dwight had no idea that he was driving his truck with a lottery ticket worth $667,142 stuck in the visor.

Dwight was philosophical about being one number away from a part of the $365 million jackpot. “We were so wrapped up in what we'd won, it didn't even dawn on us until we were driving to Louisville how close we'd come. While the big one would have been nice, I feel pretty good with where we are now."
