Powerball unveils new 'PowerPlay Ten Times' promotion

Knoxville (WVLT) - When you play Powerball, you dream about the big jackpots, but there are other Powerball prizes.

In fact, one way of playing now could land you two million bucks or more!

WVLT Volunteer TV's Whitney Daniel is ready to play now.

She is at the Weigel's on Kingston Pike in West Knoxville with more.

It's a win-win situation for an extra dollar you could choose the PowerPlay option that means any prize except the jackpot will be multiplied by the number selected on the wheel.

But here's what's neat about tomorrow's drawing and every drawing throughout March.

You could win a PowerPlay times ten.

Usually the wheel is spun to select the multiplier between two and five, but during March one of the four x5s on the wheel will be replaced with a x10.

And that means with the PowerPlay Ten Times promotion, you could win up to two million dollars.

"Oh I have it all planned out, I would set up education for all the grandkids first. Make sure they are taken care of. I just like once in awhile to take a chance. Never won but who knows somebody has to someday," says Anne Johnson of Knoxville.

The "PowerPlay Ten Times" will run for at least eight drawings. If the ten isn't hit during that time, the promotion runs until it's hit.
