Powerball Zooms to $220 Million

DES MOINES, Iowa - April 9, 2006 - Expect the lines for Powerball tickets to be even longer in the coming week.

None of the tickets sold for the Powerball game Saturday night matched all six numbers drawn, which were: 4-23-35-43-44 Powerball 35 Power Play: 03.

Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $198 million jackpot. The prize goes to an estimated $220 million for Wednesday.

Tickets that match the first five numbers, but miss the Powerball, win $200,000 each, and there were 11 of those. They were sold in: Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

There were Power Play Match 5 winners in the states of: Indiana, South Carolina and West Virginia.
