Powerball jackpot remains unclaimed

TULSA, Okla. The winner of a Powerball jackpot worth more than 100 (m) million dollars still has yet to come forward.
It would be a rare event if the prize went unclaimed, but there is a system in place if that happens.
In Oklahoma, the first 500-thousand dollars gets earmarked to the Department of Mental Health. The remainder goes back into the lottery.
Under Oklahoma's rules, the winner of last month's 101-point-eight (m) million-dollar Powerball jackpot still has more than five months left to claim the prize. That ticket was sold at a QuikTrip convenience store in Broken Arrow.
But it wouldn't be the first time that a Powerball jackpot went unclaimed. A winning Powerball ticket sold in Indianapolis in 2002 was never cashed in. It was worth 51-point-seven (m) million dollars.
