New games coming to N.C. lottery

RALEIGH -- The North Carolina Education Lottery is offering a new way to win $500. A game called Carolina Pick 3 begins Friday.

Players can take home as much as $500 by picking three numbers and then tuning in to a daily drawing to see if the numbers match.

Some believe Carolina Pick 3 offers better odds of winning since the drawing will be held every day, and it's only in North Carolina.

揂nybody can stop by, think of three numbers and play,?said Wake Forest resident Sam Boone. 揑t's real simple, easy to play and it's fun."

Another game -- Carolina Cash 5 -- debuts at the end of the month. In that game, players pick five numbers between 5 and 39. The top prize starts at $50,000, and can rise to as much as $500,000.
