Mega Millions jackpot increases to $45 million

ATLANTA - The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing grew to $45 million Tuesday.

None of the tickets sold for Tuesday's $34 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball. The next drawing will be Friday.

There was one second-prize winner from Tuesday night's drawing, matching five numbers to win $250,000. Another 17 players matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.

No California players matched five lotto numbers but three players matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. The prize amounts in California are different than what prize winners in the other Mega Ball participating states would receive.

The winning numbers from Tuesday's drawing were: 14-30-35-40-43. The Mega Ball number was 02.
