Ohio ticket top winner in $40 million Mega Millions jackpot

RICHMOND, Va. The Virginia Lottery says that a ticket purchased in Ohio is the top winner in the 40 (m) million dollar Mega Millions drawing.
The numbers drawn last night in the multistate game were 16, 22, 23, 37, 53 and Mega Ball 35.
Five tickets matched the five lotto numbers to win 250-thousand dollars.
Two tickets each were sold in Georgia and Texas and one was sold in California.
Tuesday's jackpot is estimated at 12 (m) million dollars.
