A Kansas state worker is the winner of Monday's $3.1 million Super Kansas Cash lottery jackpot.

Tamera "Tammy" Shuler of Topeka became a multi-millionaire by matching all six numbers in the drawing and winning a record jackpot of $3,136,845.

"I'm going to be able to quit my job!" Shuler said. "Our son is going to college, and we're going to buy a new house and a couple of new vehicles."

After taxes, Shuler will take home $2,195,791.50.

Shuler, 41, works for the Child Abuse and Neglect Unit of the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services in Topeka.

Shuler bought her ticket at Tammy's on the Go in Topeka. The store will receive $1,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

The winner and her fiance, Shawn Woods, plan to marry next year. They have three children: a 24-year-old daughter, a 19-year-old son, and a 5-year-old son.

Super Kansas Cash is a Kansas-only game in which players choose five numbers from a pool of 32 and another number, called the Super Cashball, from a pool of 25. The Super Kansas Cash jackpot starts at $100,000 and grows until someone wins it. The game offers two plays for $1. Drawings are held at about 9:10 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
