Mega Millions jackpot increases to $40 million

ATLANTA - The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing has grown to $40 million.

The rollover occurred because none of the tickets sold for Friday night's $30 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number. The next drawing will be Tuesday.

There were four second-prize winners from Friday night's drawing, matching five numbers to win $250,000. None of those tickets were sold in Illinois. Another 25 players matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000, and none of them were sold in Illinois.

The winning numbers from Friday night's drawing were: six, seven, 17, 28 and 40. The Mega Ball number was 39.
