Mega Millions jackpot increases to $216 million

ATLANTA - The jackpot in the multistate Mega Millions lottery drawing has grown to $216 million.

The rollover occurred because none of the tickets sold for Friday night's $177 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number. The next drawing will be Tuesday night.

There were 17 second-prize winners from Friday night's drawing, matching all five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number to win $250,000 apiece. Two of those tickets were sold in Illinois - both at a service station in the Chicago suburb of Hillside. Also, 78 players, including eight from Illinois, matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.

The winning numbers from Friday night's drawing were: three, 18, 21, 38, and 50. The Mega Ball number was 43.
