As jackpot closes on $355 million, lottery advises, ‘Play responsibly’

A $355 million jackpot is on the line in tonight's Mega Millions multi-state lottery drawing.

This is almost a record for Mega Millions, which had a $363 million prize for a game in 2000. Two winners shared that one.

Tonight's drawing won't be in the usual place. It's being moved to New York's Times Square from its usual stage in Atlanta.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states.
