Mega Millions Estimated Jackpot Grows to $28 Million

Even though there was no jackpot winner in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, a lot of players still walked away winners. With nine different ways to win, a total of 400,225 tickets won prizes in the March 13 drawing. That includes three tickets that only missed one number: the Mega Ball number. Since no ticket matched all six numbers to take home the jackpot, that jackpot grows to an estimated $28 million for the Friday, March 16, 2007 drawing.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 7-11-16-38-49 and the Mega Ball number was 35. Here is a complete breakdown of the winning tickets:

The three tickets that matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number were purchased in California, Massachusetts and New York.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
