David Sneath already has quit his job as a warehouse driver and says he hopes to buy a cottage on Mullett Lake and maybe a fishing boat or two.

He turned 60 on Tuesday, the day he won the jackpot. Friends and family at first thought it was just an April Fool's joke.

He attended a news conference Thursday afternoon at the state Lottery Bureau headquarters in downtown Lansing.

Sneath says his son bought the winning ticket on his behalf at a gas station in Redford Township near Detroit.

Sneath plans to take a one-time lump payment worth $84.3 million, or just under $63 million after taxes.

He was joined at the news conference by his two grown children, a granddaughter and his ex-wife.
