Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $80 Million; $800,000 Power Play Prize Won!

POWERBALL--(Marketwire - April 10, 2008) - Even though the grand prize was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. A ticket in Missouri matched all 5 white ball numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $800,000 cash win! Five other lucky tickets sold in DC (2), Indiana (1), Minnesota (1), and Oklahoma (1) won $200,000 each by matching all 5 white ball numbers!
The jackpot for the Saturday, April 12th drawing will be $80 million with the cash option at $40.8 million.
The numbers drawn Wednesday evening were 3, 13, 19, 32, 46, and the Powerball was 18. The Power Play multiplier was 4.
A whopping 31 tickets matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. Six additional tickets of that prize level had the Power Play and had the prize multiplied by 4 for a $40,000 cash win! A total of 509,668 tickets across the nation won more than $6.2 million in prizes playing America's favorite game.
A total of 111,287 winning Powerball tickets multiplied their prize by 4 Wednesday. Players were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for $1. With Power Play you multiply your Powerball winnings from 2-5 times, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night's multiplier. For a limited time during the current "Power Play 10X" promotion, all prizes (except the jackpot) can be multiplied up to 10 times for the same $1 Power Play cost.
