Mega Millions jackpot goes to $42 million

The grand prize in the Mega Millions multistate lottery has grown to $42 million.

The rollover occurred because no player matched all the winning numbers from Friday night's $32 million drawing.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be Tuesday night.

Although there was no grand prize winner, seven players won second prizes of $250,000 Friday night. None of those tickets were sold in Illinois. Another 30 players, including two who bought their tickets in Illinois, won third prizes apiece.

The winning numbers from Friday night's drawing were: seven, 15, 27, 28, and 31. The Mega Ball number was 35.
