Mega Millions Jackpot Increases to $62 Millions

Tuesday night's Mega Millions Lottery drawing has yielded no jackpot winner for the $51 million grand prize.

With no one matching all six numbers in Mega Millions, Friday night's drawing will be worth an estimated $62 million for a single winner. That comes out to a cash out option of almost $38 million up for grabs on Friday.

"I can't even imagine what to do with all that money if I won," said Juan Alvarez of Chula Vista, California. "I have so much family in Mexico I have not seen in years. I would definitely take a trip down to San Hilario to see my Grandmother and buy her a new house."

Even with no jackpot winner recorded, there were 3 second prizetickets purchased. One player in Michigan, one in New Jersey and another in Ohio matched five numbers without the Mega Ball and will take in $250,000 each.

Another 32 players nationwide matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball number for third prizes. They have each won $10,000 in cash.

Tuesday's drawing results were; 5, 27, 38, 42, 55 and the Mega Ball was 41.

With so many winners recorder at many different prize levels, players should check there tickets very carefully. Lottery officials say that thousands of dollars worth of prizes go unclaimed every year.
