1 ticket sold from NY won $22 million Mega Millions jackpot

A single winner has taken the $22 million jackpot from the latest drawing of the multistate Mega Millions lottery.

The only ticket to match all the winning numbers from Tuesday night's drawing was sold in New York.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Friday night with a jackpot of $12 million.

In addition to the grand prize winner, five players, including one in Illinois, won second prizes of $250,000 apiece. Another 20 players, but none who bought their tickets in Illinois, won third prizes of $10,000 apiece.

The winning numbers from Tuesday night's drawing were: 22, 25, 33, 36 and 48. The Mega Ball number was 25.
